Silka Xella - basement and foundation walls Silka E24S

Silka E24S blocks are used for making basement and foundation walls. Horizontal and vertical joints are filled with mortar. Basement and foundation walls must be protected against moisture and moisture penetration. This protection consists of vertical insulation (waterproof layer with protection against mechanical damage) and horizontal insulation at the junction of the bottom of the wall and the top of the foundation. If necessary, drainage of the soil adjacent to the basement wall shall also be used. This drainage is carried out by replacing the native soil with gravel with drainage by means of drainage.
