Sika - SikaSwell P intumescent sealing profile

Sealing profiles, swelling in contact with water. The offer includes homogeneous profiles - smooth swelling profiles, red, with a high swelling index, as well as hybrid profiles - full or hollow, where the outer red part is a material with a high swelling index, and the inner black part is a swelling material.

• chemical base: red part - combination of hydrophilic, swelling resins and rubber; black part - EPDM
• volume change - red part, testing according to DIN 53521: ≥ 100% after 7 days in drinking water; ≥ 150% after 14 days in drinking water; ≥ 100% after 10 soaking-drying cycles in drinking water (1 cycle = 7 days drying and 7 days in drinking water)
• swelling pressure ≤ 15 bar (after 7 days in drinking water)
• tensile strength: ≥ 2.5 N / mm (hydrophilic, swelling, red part); ≥ 7.0 N / mm (black part, EPDM)
• Shore A hardness: 75-5 (hydrophilic, swelling, red part); 80 5 (black part, EPDM)
• elongation at break: ≥ 250% (hydrophilic, swelling, red part); ≥ 100% (black part, EPDM)
